1. Overview & Privacy-First Architecture

MapWhisperMoment (referred to as "the Application", "we", or "our") is a desktop cartographic poster studio. We believe your privacy is fundamental. The Application is engineered with a strict local-first architecture:

Zero Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, harvest, store, or transmit your name, email, phone number, device identifiers, or financial information.
No User Account or Registration: You can use all features without creating an account or logging in.
No Telemetry or Tracking: There are no third-party tracking pixels, profiling cookies, advertising SDKs, or background telemetry services bundled within the app.

2. Network Requests & Third-Party Map Providers

To render high-resolution maps and provide location search, the Application communicates directly via encrypted HTTPS with reputable open-source community providers. Requests contain only map grid coordinates (Zoom/X/Y) or city search text:

OpenFreeMap & CARTO

Fetches vector and raster map tiles for poster backgrounds without user tracking.

OpenStreetMap Nominatim

Converts city search terms into geographic coordinates, cached locally on your device.

Project OSRM

Calculates route geometry only when custom travel route markers are enabled.

Google Fonts

Delivers open-source typography for artistic typography and coordinate lettering.

3. Local Storage & File Security

All creative assets, project files (.mapposter), exported Ultra HD PNGs, and temporary offline caches are stored strictly on your local machine. You have 100% ownership and control over your files.

Draft Storage: Local drafts are preserved in your local AppData directory to prevent accidental work loss.
Data Erasure: You can clear the local tile and search cache at any time via Settings > Clear Cache.

4. Children's Privacy

The Application does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13 years of age, complying with COPPA, GDPR, and Microsoft Store Developer Policies.
